Finding Hope: My Journey Beyond Trauma and into Faith

1 Kings 19:12 After the earthquake came a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire. And after the fire came a gentle whisper.

After the Fire Nineteen 12 was born in my basement on the night of October 31, 2021.
As I sat there overwhelmed by pain, betrayal, grief, and shame, I reached a moment where I felt completely broken. In the midst of that darkness, I heard the gentle voice of God whisper, "Sweetheart, it's time to leave."
It was one of the darkest nights of my life, yet His message was unmistakably clear. Deep within my spirit, I knew that if I was going to survive, I had to leave behind the life I had been living and take a step into the unknown. Despite fear, opposition, and the debilitating effects of Complex Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (C-PTSD), I made the decision to draw closer to God and trust Him with my future.
When I lost the support of those I believed would always stand beside me, God remained faithful. He never abandoned me. His presence became my refuge, His promises became my foundation, and His love became the light that guided me through the darkness when hope seemed out of reach.
By His strength, I began breaking free from the chains that had bound me physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. Through His healing and grace, my mind was renewed, my spirit was restored, and my heart was transformed. God took the ashes of my pain and began creating something beautiful from them, a life filled with purpose, hope, mercy, and unimaginable love.
Today, I wake each morning with a grateful heart and a renewed commitment to glorify God in all that I do. My journey is a testament to His faithfulness and the transformative power of faith, resilience, and perseverance. I have learned that our greatest trials do not define us; rather, they can become the foundation upon which God builds our greatest testimony.
No matter what challenges lie ahead, I move forward with confidence because I know God walks beside me. Through every valley and every victory, He continues to lead me toward healing, freedom, and a brighter future.
If you are walking through your own fire, I want you to know that there is hope. Trust God's plan, even when you cannot see the path ahead. Lean into His presence, hold tightly to His promises, and allow Him to guide your steps. The life He has prepared for you may be far greater than anything you could imagine.
Your story is not over. Healing is possible, freedom is attainable, and with God, beauty can rise from the ashes.

In the words of Jude,

"Mercy, peace, and love be yours in abundance."
